Losing weight & college
Hi all, I’m a 18 year old guy about to head off to my first year of college. For the past four years I went to a preppy highschool where I had to wear a button down every day, so my wardrobe is severely lacking. As such, I’m about to spend a few hundred dollars on a totally new set of clothes. For the most part I’m sticking with a pair of jeans, some joggers, and maybe a pair of black chinos for pants. For tops, I’m planning on going with a few graphic t-shirts and some hoodies, and a bomber jacket for the fall. Headgear wise I’m thinking of grabbing a beanie (I’m growing my hair out so I can put it in a bun but until I can get a nice one going I don’t want anyone seeing my shit bowl cut of a mane).Criticism of all that is pretty welcome, but my main issue is that I’m losing a lot of weight, and am currently on the lower end of an XL t shirt. I leave for college in a month and plan to do as much as I can to lose weight before then, but should I get XL clothes anyways and just go for a too-large look once I’ve lost all the weight, or wait until I’m at my target weight to buy anything?TL;DR, I’m losing a lot of weight but still fit into an XL shirt. Should I stick with XL clothing or wait until I can fit into L?

I really like JCREW due to the fact their 36/38 suits aren’t made for short men (yay 25″ sleeves). In addition to being half-canvassed, JCREW historically uses Bemberg linings, but many of the premium Ludlow jackets I’ve come across recently have had poly or poly blend linings, not Bemberg.I was told that JCREW is relatively responsive to customer feedback (hence their increased offering of 3″ and 3.5″ lapels), so feel free to reach out to them to let them know you want Bemberg, not polyester.help@jcrew.com800 562 0258Messenger (FB): https://www.facebook.com/jcrew/

Underwear options for warm weather

Underwear options for warm weather
Hey Guys,With warm and humid weather, what do you recommend for underwear for warm summer months that is comfortable and cool?My normal cotton knit boxers that I’ve worn for years aren’t cutting it. Those and normal t-shirts seemed to do fine for being comfortable. However, now everything is too warm and uhhh…sticky down there. (Also, there’s a ton of bunching up under khakis I have to wear to the office.)I had a conversation with my dad about this and he told me regular tighty whities/briefs were best…ugh… He had a smirk on his face so I’m not sure if he was serious, but he may have been. Also, not sure if that’s the best option. A buddy recommended something like Under Armour boxer briefs which is fine for working out, just not sure if it would be right for all day since thyy can be too tight or might not be cool enough. What sort of underwear helps you to keep you comfortable and cool in summer or warm and humid climates? I’m open to pretty much anything that might help to be cooler and more comfortable at the office and out and about. Thanks for your help and advice!

Can’t find OCBDs for reasonable amounts, should i get custom twill or poplin?
Title. it’s my birthday btwI live in a shite country where fashion is an afterthought. All stores and local brands only sell broadcloth or jacquard or or some obscure weave casual shirts with no interfacing and the ones that do happen to sell oxford cloth shirts sell them for ridiculous amounts for like the most basic and often-used weave on the planet?? Plus I’m skinny and 6’0 so size small has shoulders too small while medium is huge everywhere else.So there’s this online local Proper Cloth-style custom shirt tailoring website that allows you to pick cloth and customise everything else, and they charge very reasonably. 100% cotton guaranteed. Problem is they don’t sell oxford cloth in white or blue (royal oxford for blue though). They have poplin and twill however, but they’ll likely have interfacing which makes the shirt not so casual. So what do I do? Pick twill or poplin (too transparent imo) and get a custom shirt which will likely have stiff interfacing, or splurge out the cash for an OCBD which won’t fit as well but will fit the casual criteria? I’m going to use whatever I get for casual purposes.
